Ok, then I will follow suit and introduce myself:
I'm Raf (short for Raphael) and I've been involved with the playtest for some time now. Oh, and I tend to write to much (http:///tongue.gif)

Hello everyone,
I am Fidoric, a French (fighter) gamer willing to do much but chronically lacking time to.
Ready to discuss anything nonetheless in my spare time.

Hello, I'm Erik. Rasyr clued me in to the forums today when he registered on my forums. In any case, I've been gaming since 1983, Rolemaster since 1995. I came in with a group running 2nd Edition and it's my preferred choice.

Hey, I'm James.  I started gaming using D6 Star Wars, Marvel Super Heroes & Battletech in the early 90's; then graduated to Rolemaster & more recently to HARP and back to RMX.  We are getting ready to playtest Novis next...

Hey James. I got a friend who used to play Marvel Super Heroes. I hadn't a clue about it until a few decades past. But another friend of mine started playing Mechwarrior 2nd Edition in 1986. If you don't know, that's the RPG version of Battletech. We still have our original characters (they made Elite some time in the early 90s and never died. That universe has changed A LOT since 1986 though, so if we ever get back to them it's going to be very different. Not that anyone cares, but thought I'd mention MW. I found BT in 1986 for my 16th birthday. It was an impulse buy to fill the last $20 of my birthday money. When I found out FASA had an RPG I bought it at the first opportunity. Very fun game. Limited scope, but very fun. Of course MW 3rd Edition killed it all for me though. FASA tried to standardize it with ShadowRun 3rd Edition (which I also don't like).Í

I have 2nd edition mechwarrior, but never like the RPG versions at all.  I used Hero to create mechwarrior characters when last we played.....many years past.  I always liked Fasa world though; I have a soft spot for Earthdawn.

I have a soft spot for Earthdawn.

Yeah, because it has large tentacled monsters who have just barely left the world's surface (http:///bigsmile.gif)

Well, I must admit that I first didn't get Earthdawn, because our GM did not explain the Horrors in any way. Then I started reading the books and it all clicked. And hey, tentacles are just like pirates, they make everything better (http:///tongue.gif)

Its true.  Thats why the second Pirates of the Carribean was good.  A tentacled pirate.

Well, I can't agree with you there. That movie was horrible. All those frutti di mare pirates were terrible imo.

Hello,
I have been playing table top RPG's since 1994 started out with AD&D 2nd, then tried MERP, WoD, Fuzion, Hackmaster, and a variety of other P&P RPG's. I did seven years in the U.S. Navy and I am now finishing up an undergraduate degree in Physics at the University of South Florida. I recently had my first child, a healthy boy, and my wife and I live comfortably in Tampa, Florida. I am currently dreaming of rolling the dice again after a long sabbatical.

I'm the Other Tim, or rather just one of the many Tims that are out there.  I'm a big Tolkien fan, but strangely not so much when it comes to gaming.  I've made a few sub par fantasy settings and put them up on the internet for free, and I've been blathering on YouTube about RPGs when I can fit it into my schedule.  I got married when I was 20, and this July we will have been wed for 12 years.  I married a corn fed woman from Nebraska, and dragged her out here to the rust belt of Pennsylvania.  I've had a love of RPGs for a long time, but I couldn't really give you a date.  I think I've been gaming since I was 8 or 9, so it's been awhile.  (http:///smile.gif)

My name is Matt I am now 35 been playing since 2000 when D&D 3.0 came out at the insistence of my then fiancee now wife (she's a gamer girl yes they do exist).  I am a different type of roleplayer in that I really don't have the patience to read much besides source books and even then only for short burst while listening to music on the computer or laying in bed.  I usually enjoy playing the what I call the "anti-hero" type character most.  A kind of character who is pushed into the adventure kicking and screaming by fate but triumphs in the end.  I have played a few different games since I began, various White Wolf, D&D 3.0 to 4.0, Serenity, Witch Hunter, Star Wars d6 (starting my 1st campaign in this tomorrow) and d20, In Nomine, and many others one shots.  I live in a small town called New Salem in PA and I work at a bank during my non-gaming hours.  Normally when I run a game I am totally an improv GM.  I have an skeletal outline of the adventure I wrote on paper and I fill in the rest as I go.  I tried writing the whole thing when i first started but never enjoyed it and always ended up changing 3/4 of it anyway when I ran it.  I usually add a good bit to published mods when I run them to personalize them and I almost always send along a GM controlled NPC to give clues if the characters get stumped as most of my stories tend to be more roleplay/puzzles and less hack and slash.

Matt

Hi. I'm Heather, Stacie's aforementioned gf. She told me to come here and introduce myself, so here I am.

I'm really new to the whole roleplaying thing. My only foray into RPGs so far has been World of Darkness: Vampires or whatever with my sister, and I never really got into it. I'm looking forward to playing Novus though.

Hi, I've been gaming since the mid 80's and read about Novus on the RPGsite and Akrasia's blog. I've become a bit jaded with the games I've been playing so checked out Novus and it seems to offer the flexibility without bloat (or being too abstract) that I'm after. Also, the setting sounds intriguing and full of adventuring possibilities. Good work !

I somehow neglected to do this last time I was here.

I'm Viktyr C Gehrig, formerly of Cloven Fruit Games-- one of the authors of the AfterWorlds setting for HARP Sci-Fi. I've been an avid roleplayer since the early 90s, starting with AD&D and Gamma World; I've played a lot of systems and a lot of genres, but I tend to gravitate back toward (non-traditional) adventure fantasy over time-- my favorite D&D settings are Spelljammer and Dragonfist, and my current gaming project is a semi-OSR game combining both with Boot Hill. (It's called Galactic Dragons: Immortal Heroes of the Celestial Aether; the link in my sig will have more detail eventually.) I am also an aspiring novelist, working on two separate novels-- one in the Galactic Dragons setting, and one "urban wuxia" novel set two weeks into the future on an alt.history magical Earth, in a Buck Rogers style solar system.

Heya folkses

I'm Brett G.
My younger brother is currently GM in Novus, custom world, standard rules. Between our group of friends, I have played in Seventh Sea, Shadow Run, some Star Wars rpgs. I'm currently GMing a 3 year and still running campaign on Anima: Beyond Fantasy (custom world, standard rules). That's the longest run we've had for any characters.
