Title: How to Start a Play-By-Post game

This forum is open to anybody who wishes to run a Play-By-Post game.

In order to setup to run such a game, simply send me a PM or make a post in this forum asking me to create a sub-forum for your game and I will do the following:

• Create a specific sub-forum for your game, titled as you want it.
• Make you the moderator of that forum
• Create specific membergroup for that forum, and make you the moderator for that membergroup (this group will be the only ones allowed to post in your game sub-forum, and as moderator you can approve or deny requests to join the group, or add specific members to the group)
• Upon further request, I can even create a permanent chat room in the chat app for your game.

The Firehawk Games forums also includes a couple of Dice Rollers that you can use in your games.

• General Instructions for the Custom Dice Roller: http://www.firehawkgames.biz/forum/index.php?topic=297.0 - This is actually several dice rolling functions all rolled up into a single app, as it were. The thread shows the various possible dice commands, and even includes some rolls for other games, such as Fudge.
  

• Novus Specific Dice Rolling Instructions: http://www.firehawkgames.biz/forum/index.php?topic=297.msg5755#msg5755 - This command was designed specifically for Novus, including exploding/imploding dice and Nova Rolls. Check out the sample rolls in the linked post.

And to be specific - while we would prefer that your games be Novus games, we won't limit you to just those games, as it is our belief here that playing one game does not and should not preclude you from enjoying other games as well, and we wish to foster community growth most of all.[/list][/list]

Cool (I might be interested in playing as well... hehehe). Eventually, I will want to run a game as well, but right now, what with Closing on a house in 3 days, and then having to move before the end of the month, it will be a while before I will have the time to do (but playing might be possible).

Yes, I am... My wife and I are buying a house. We have the Closing (where we sign the papers and stuff) this coming Friday. So, this will be our last time moving for a long long time to come...... (http:///bigsmile.gif)
