Title: Archery Question
Post by: imported_Rasyr on October 05, 2011, 03:56:02 PM
Right now, the Archer and the Archery talent only applies to Bows. During a game held at a recent Japanese convention, there was a player who wanted to play an Archer, but one who specialized in slings and the rules didn't allow for that.

So, I want yo get opinions on the idea of expanding the Archer and Archery talent so that it may be used for any one ranged weapon instead of any one bow (thus, it could apply to slings, to thrown daggers, etc..)

I can't see how it could unbalance anything. It would just add flexibility so IMO, a good thing.
Just change the talent so that it applies to any thrown or missile weapon.

I support the idea and favor the wording of applying to any one ranged weapon, not any ranged weapon.  Being good at a bow doesn't make you a slingmaster.

That was my thought too.

I like the idea of the talent being more general and applying to any one missile or thrown skill.

Ok, I will definitely be making this change. I had already been inclined to make it, but wanted to get some of your reactions first. I have listed the changes to be made in the Typos & Corrections thread
