Here is a short Sword & Sorcery Setting I put together for NOVUS. As I expand it I'll post directly to this thread. Anyone wanting to contribute is welcome to!

It is an interesting idea. The post-apocalyptic magic thing is fun. What do you plan on doing about technology, sort of technomancer type stuff? I guess the question is, what does civilization mean in your setting? Is it high tech arcologies, or ????

I like the dark, strange and evocative type of take on magic, but from a game mechanics perspective, this might hamper magic using characters. Are you thinking about a way to bump them up somewhere to offset the difficulty of doing magic over the course of an adventuring day? like more powerful spells, access to other powers, ????

Magic is intended to be limited. I wanted to turn away from a classic D&D spell flinging style with Shattered Moon. Although PCs can do it- the recovery of Spell Points is limited. In a typical Sword & Sorcery setting "spells" are not as common as using Runes, Items of Power, and Magic Rituals. So, in game mechanics terms Magic revolves around the Magecraft skill more so than the Spell Casting skill. So, my idea was to insert a Spell Ritual system that PCs could use.
As for Technology. Specialized crafts, lores, and languages should cover it. Remember though; the Shattering can happen at any point in our known history, so as a GM you get to pick what Tech is available based at that time. The second consideration is how far removed from the Shattering the adventuring takes place. I'd recommend at least 100 years. The moon splitting in half would wreak havoc on Earth. We don't really know what would happen- but it would epic. So, only a limited amount of whatever tech was available would survive and the knowledge of how to create and maintain it would be super rare.

I've attached a doc that further defines Rituals & Offerings in Shattered Moon. I am intending on working on Spell Rituals and some "broad brush stroke" technology rules too. As a rule I am only adapting existing material (and trying to limit that to the NOVUS: Full Version). That way if someone takes an interest and wants to try NOVUS using Shattered Moon they have a single purchase to make and don't need to chase after any of the Libram volumes. If anyone wants to take a stab at some loose firearms and technology rules.. please feel free!
