Originally, Novus 1e was not released under any sort of license. And then I put it a license out for it, but it was not an actual open license. As of today, I am releasing Novus 1e under the Creative Commons license as well -- the CC-BY-SA license
I will be placing the following logo on the TOC page for Novus 1e, and this announcement should serve to release it under 1e.
