It has been noted that I neglected to include any musical instruments on the equipment lists. Which makes things a little difficult for anybody who wants to play a Minstrel.

I have added the following:

Drum, Hand (18 sp, 2 lbs)
Flute (3 sp, 1 lb)
Harp, Great (300 sp, 100 lbs)
Harp, Small (aka Lyre or Lap Harp) (40 sp, 5 lbs)
Lute (aka guitar or dulcimer) (20 sp, 3 lbs)
Ocarina (18 bp, 1 lbs)

This should cover most musical needs...

Will they confer any bonus to performing arts checks or just for flavor?  I play aminstrel and I am very glad to have them even if they are for flavor.

Standard instruments do not add to performance checks (but the lack of one can likely impose a penalty when trying to do a performance that requires one, just as trying to use a Lyre when the performance calls for a Great Harp would give a minus...).

High end instruments (high quality and/or magical) would give a bonus though.

You missed a fiddle or violin, something often used by musicians in taverns, I think.
I'm glad thought that musical instruments have made it into the book now. I often play characters with at least one performance skill and an instrument, so I'm happy I can now look up the prices.

Perhaps a trumpet or some other signaling instrument for heralds and the use on battlefields would be a good addition too?

I might add a fiddle into the mix (not sure though), but the horns are more iffy, since they are, as you pointed out, more used by heralds and on battlefields, as opposed to individual minstrels, and the equipment list is more designed for adventuring PCs than for other characters. However, the existing list of instruments can also be used to give rough estimates to other potential instruments, since you already have samples...

For example, for a fiddle, use the price for a Lute, another stringed instrument. Will take a closer look though...
