Canceling Actions

It was brought to my attention (not directly, but through a couple of comments and questions), that Canceling an Action under Special Situations in the Combat section actually is more along the lines of "Canceling All Declared Actions" and it doesn't take into account the idea of only Canceling a part of your actions.

The original question involved a player who declares that he will make a Missile attack (2 AP) and then Reload (3 AP), who then earns a Boon Point and wishes to do a Rapid Reload. The question became -- "What about the Reload action? Is it just wasted? Can another action be declared? What?"

So, before I make any decisions, I want some feedback...

boons are special.  I thing they should bypass any penalty for cancelling actions.

So, you are saying that the player in this example, should be allowed to just declare a new action with those three AP (including another attack?)

hmmmmm
i'm not necessarily saying anything.  but, i think that it is certainly an option available based on the AP system.  IMO (based on my current heroic gaming bias) I asy sure; why not?
