Okay, here is my initial take on how to handle the Shek-P'var.
First off, I would have to create 6 new Schools of Magic, one to match each Convocation of the Shek-P'var.
Using the P'varic Wheel (below), a mage's Convocation would use the "Major Adept" costs, his secondary Convocations (the ones on either side of his Convocation) would use the "Minor Adept" costs and the other 3 Convocations would use the costs of a Non-Adept
- Major Adept Costs on ALL (codified) spells from all Convocations
- Reduced Costs on casting spells on the fly (using the Spell Bases)
Another aspect of this is that each convocation will have certain Spell Bases associated with them, and others that will receive some sort of negative modifier due to being against the precepts of the Convocation.
I'll create threads ( one to start with, the rest later on today - I have some other stuff to get done first) on each Convocation, so that we can start off by seeing which of the existing spells already fit into the Convocations, and then see if we need to perhaps fill in a few additional spells to get things started.[/list]
