Hey Tim, if you are looking for ideas for future Libran Novus PDFs how about these two?

1) Instead of a static number that armor reduces damage by how about a random amount in the form of dice?  If you want to stay with D10s you could do something like:
1D10
1D10 -5 (1 min)
2D10
1D10+5
etc.

2) Going another way altogether how about getting rid of the armor protection altogether and just adding an amount to Def?

Thoughts?

If you are going to put them in a PDF, maybe don't elaborate on them too much here.

Another idea: Ignoring the Imploding 1s dice rule and just focuse on the normal total of the dice and the exploding 10s.  In this system only Snake Eyes (double 1s) would be a botch where something really terrible happens.

I like that one -- simplifies things a little bit and put control of the botch back into the hands of the GM to control... And with that option, anything less than TN (excluding snake-eyes) is simply a failure to accomplish the task.
