Faithful conversion or tweak it?

As mentioned, I am planning on doing a smaller scale version of Against the Darkmaster.

The question is......

DO I......

1) do a faithful conversion (minus the actual setting) of the rules, just converted to d20 (or perhaps to 2d10)?

OR

2) do I tweak the system, such as expanding the skill system slightly and changing things so fit it into my Anwyn setting? Perhaps adding in 2 more stats to the six that it has? Maybe including my Novus spell system into it along with the spell lists that it already contains?


Thoughts and opinions welcome?

Option 2 will take more work, but it will result in a more defined game, I like it, you can tweak things you don't like or things to work they way you like to play, also, expanding the game is never a bad thing.
