I think the archer is better now than before. He is more focused on his bow skills and not as good in close combat as a generic fighter.
The martial artist seems ok but it will have to playtest it. Besides, with the distinction between defense and armor rating, the balance between quick and agile characters and armored characters is better simulated. Even at high level, the Martial artist will not become impossible to hit and his lack of armor will always be a vulnerability against heavy damage dealers.
I like very much these two evolutions.
