Update on Libram Novus
« on: June 11, 2012, 02:20:20 PM »
Well, it is currently up to 8,791 words in length....

The Crafting Section is finished and I am nearly done with the herbcraft section (just filling in some descriptive text for the sample herbs given). Once that is finished, I will begin the section on Training Paths. It will likely be a short section,, only giving a couple of short examples. The idea being to fully introduce them and what they are used for. As I had pointed out to me, they are best used in conjunction with a specific setting, not a generic articled. I do agree with that, but there are one or two semi-generic Training Paths that could be introduced (such as for a Mage Guild) or something along those lines.....

I am hoping to have Libram Novus #5 released before the end of the week, or early next week if possible (I likely won't be around much on the 18th or 19th, as my wife is scheduled for surgery on the 18th and is supposed to come home on the 19th, so I will be tied up both those days)

Will Training Paths, be sort of like the Heroic Paths of the Midnight D20 game?  Basically where you get certain benefits for each level you achieve.

I have discussed Training Paths before....

Essentially, they are goals for the PCs to accomplish. Upon reaching those goals, the player pays a nominal CP fee, and it grants him access to something (NPCs, special considerations from an organization, the ability to learn certain talents that are normally not Trainable, etc...)

Here are some links to places where I have talked about them in the past

http://www.firehawkgames.biz/forum/index.php?topic=808.0 -- Note that many of the ones listed there could, with the Craftsman rules in LN#5 could be compiled into a single TP.

Yes, she is hurting, but all went well... I spent most of today recovering from my spending all day and night at the hospital and then going in to work the next morning....  I was wore out....

Well, she is home and doing quite well, though it will be about 6 weeks before she is fully recovered... But things are looking good...
