Casting option example

On page 59 of the Novus deluxe pdf (its actually page 60 of the pdf, 59 of the physical book) there is an example to illustrate the use of casting options using the Flash spell. The second sentence mentions a "Use Casting Options" spell point cost of 1 and I can't find any reference to this Use Casting Options cost anywhere other than this example.

Is this a left over from a previous version of the rules or does it, in fact, cost 1 spell point to "unlock" the casting options when casting a spell?

Thanks for clarifying that.

Do you think you will ever get a chance to update the PDF to include the errata and rules clarifications based on FAQ?

At some point I will. It will depend on when Chronicle City is getting ready to do their next print run for Novus. Those will be the breakpoints for updating the files since I don't want to change files that they just spent thousands on getting printed.

Now, when I do update them, unless I am doing a major revision of the system, I will most likely update the files online and simply allow those who purchased the PDFs to get them again for free at that time.

However, I do still need to update the online html version to incorporate the errata (and actually update the files themselves -- as I do keep them updated and ready to make new PDFs to avoid having to do it all at once).
