AAAUUUGGGGHHHH!!!!!

Just realized that this is missing completely from Novus 2.0. It is referenced in more than on spot, but not gone over.

I figure I can add some other magical materials as well.

Volss - Volcanic glass - a super hard crystaline material that comes in various colors and naturally imbued with certain abilities.

Gorek -- anti-magic material, dampens flow of magical energies

Dak Wood - magical qood that is often considered hard as steel

any other suggestions?

Ironically, I had thought to myself that the Essential Salts were more detailed.....completely overlooked Orichalum.

I had suggested previously to incorporate some magical/valuable materials into the monsters so that they could be harvested.  This gives PCs a reason to hunt them and builds in a video game-like coin drop.  That would be my suggestion- pick 5 monsters and imagine whether a tooth, chitin, or bladder from them my be valuable LOL.

Sympathetic magic is built into the item creation rules already, and something that can easily be expanded upon.

"Sympathetic"?

I think that is the right word.

For example, in the Alchemy 101 section of the playtest doc, iwe have the base formula for potions, and it is intended that each potion will have its own special ingredients, such as a potion of flight requiring the blood of a flying creature (or perhaps some other part for the making some other item).

with the enchantment process working to magically imbue the item with properties from the "source ingredients"

Cool.  I sense a lot of nightvision potions once people figure out all they need is a little goblin blood....LOL

Which is hilarious, because I am not sure I have any Goblins slated to be in Tyrlon

I am trying to remember
