and of course, now that I have a weather system, I am working on changing it.... ROFL....
For example, instead of going for specific temperatures (this is not Rolemaster afterall, no need for that level of specificity), the Temperature table will look like this
:Temp
1-5,Freezing
6-10,Cold
11-15,Cool
16-20,Mild
21-25,Warm
26-30,Hot
it will be a 2d10 roll with mods for season and for location.
For example the base line is for early spring, so +1 to the roll for late spring,+2 for summer, -1 for fall, -2 for winter.
Then mods for location, Tuist Rhion (the star crater) would get a +3 modifier for temp due to underlying geo-thermal features.
the table for cloudiness would be like
:Sky
1-7,clear (up to 10% cloud cover)
8-18,cloudy (between 10% and 100% cloud cover, each point above 8 equals 10% cloud cover)
19-30,overcast (more than 100% cloud cover, the sky is dark enough that undead who are suceptible to daylight may go out in it)
Ilthach gets a +8 to its cloud cover due to its connection to the Ocher Realms.
And so forth....
Each temp listing would have its own precipitation table as well (and you only roll on them if the sky is cloudy or overcast).
I will try to put it together into something that I can give you guys (a small PDF maybe) this weekend.
