When will the Open Beta PDF be available?  The magic system sounds interesting.  Thanks!

The Open Beta will be available in a few short weeks. A recent move is slowing me down. I have one last chapter to write (the GM chapter - shouldn't take more than a week or so, once I get back on it), and then a little polishing and the PDF should be ready for release.

There will actually be 2 Open Beta PDFs, one for free and one that will cost. They will be the same PDF, but the one you pay for will allow for upgrading to final version of the PDF once it is ready (with art, and index, etc..). The free PDF will remain no frills (no art, no index, no internal links, etc..)

I assume Novus is to be a fantasy game.

On that note, is the game made with a certain setting in mind or is this meant as a general set of rules only?

In other words, will there be some setting specific information in the pdf, the eventual finished one as well as the open beta pdf?
