I accept, Sir!
But we should honour the wish of our estemed host and go outside for it.
I'll meet you there at sunrise, the choice of weapons is yours!

Hello,
I have been playing table top RPG's since 1994 started out with AD&D 2nd, then tried MERP, WoD, Fuzion, Hackmaster, and a variety of other P&P RPG's. I did seven years in the U.S. Navy and I am now finishing up an undergraduate degree in Physics at the University of South Florida. I recently had my first child, a healthy boy, and my wife and I live comfortably in Tampa, Florida. I am currently dreaming of rolling the dice again after a long sabbatical.

I'm the Other Tim, or rather just one of the many Tims that are out there.  I'm a big Tolkien fan, but strangely not so much when it comes to gaming.  I've made a few sub par fantasy settings and put them up on the internet for free, and I've been blathering on YouTube about RPGs when I can fit it into my schedule.  I got married when I was 20, and this July we will have been wed for 12 years.  I married a corn fed woman from Nebraska, and dragged her out here to the rust belt of Pennsylvania.  I've had a love of RPGs for a long time, but I couldn't really give you a date.  I think I've been gaming since I was 8 or 9, so it's been awhile.

My name is Matt I am now 35 been playing since 2000 when D&D 3.0 came out at the insistence of my then fiancee now wife (she's a gamer girl yes they do exist).  I am a different type of roleplayer in that I really don't have the patience to read much besides source books and even then only for short burst while listening to music on the computer or laying in bed.  I usually enjoy playing the what I call the "anti-hero" type character most.  A kind of character who is pushed into the adventure kicking and screaming by fate but triumphs in the end.  I have played a few different games since I began, various White Wolf, D&D 3.0 to 4.0, Serenity, Witch Hunter, Star Wars d6 (starting my 1st campaign in this tomorrow) and d20, In Nomine, and many others one shots.  I live in a small town called New Salem in PA and I work at a bank during my non-gaming hours.  Normally when I run a game I am totally an improv GM.  I have an skeletal outline of the adventure I wrote on paper and I fill in the rest as I go.  I tried writing the whole thing when i first started but never enjoyed it and always ended up changing 3/4 of it anyway when I ran it.  I usually add a good bit to published mods when I run them to personalize them and I almost always send along a GM controlled NPC to give clues if the characters get stumped as most of my stories tend to be more roleplay/puzzles and less hack and slash.

Matt

Hi. I'm Heather, Stacie's aforementioned gf. She told me to come here and introduce myself, so here I am.

I'm really new to the whole roleplaying thing. My only foray into RPGs so far has been World of Darkness: Vampires or whatever with my sister, and I never really got into it. I'm looking forward to playing Novus though.

Hi, I've been gaming since the mid 80's and read about Novus on the RPGsite and Akrasia's blog. I've become a bit jaded with the games I've been playing so checked out Novus and it seems to offer the flexibility without bloat (or being too abstract) that I'm after. Also, the setting sounds intriguing and full of adventuring possibilities. Good work !
