okay, I am considering changing the Stats in the stat array to (18, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 9).
Comments? Questions?

I don't think I would shift too much power to the players. It would add maybe a plus one to one or two stats overall after the whole build is complete. I would be for it. Of course I am usually a player and not a gm, although I occasionally do that too.

The change is basically a +1 to each of the numbers in the stat array, except for the low end, where the bottom 2 increased by 2 points.

Why the increase? Was there some comments on the other Stat Array? I'm just curious.

I just got to thinking about the numbers and thinking about how they turn out in the long run. And how the 7 and 8 from the previous set were below average...

Personally, I think it's good to have one or two stats that are on the low end. I like characters with weaknesses. I might be in the minority with that opinion though. hehe.

You could propose 2 stats arrays : a average one with no weakness but no very high value say between 10 and 16 and another with both high and low results like the current one. The "extreme" one should allow to reach the +3 stat bonus at character creation while the moderate one would make it harder (possible with a talent and race bonus ?).

So how about (17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 9)?

Seems good to me. With a minimum effort, you can cancel the -1 and reach the +3. I like this one.

The new range at least gets the numbers closer to the averages of the rolling system. I have been doing some calculations and analysis about stat generation (which I won't get into in this message/thread) but will just observe the following:
rolling 2d10, dropping low, adding 5 to 6 stats and 10 to 2 gives average stat of 13.4
original prerolled stat array had average stat of 12
proposed prerolled stat array has average stat of 13.2
So the new version of array at least closes the disparity compared to rolling (which still gives the best overall numbers)
