Feint -- Talent or Combat Move? or Both?

Which would you prefer to the Feint be - a talent or a combat move.

As a talent, it will likely cost 3 points for everybody
The basic mechanics of it would require that the character make a Trickery roll (TN = foe's Int or Wis stat, whichever is higher). For every 2 points over TN, gain a +1 to AB. Foe's can make a Saving Roll (same stat as used for the TN) to cut that bonus in half. Requires 5 AP to perform.

As a Combat Move, it will likely cost (U 4/I 3/ II 2)
For the CM, I would/could make it require a roll using the character's skill bonus for the weapon being used. TN would again be foe's Int or Wis, whichever is higher, and the character would get a +1 to AB for every 5 points over the TN (foe would get a Saving Roll to cut that bonus in half). Requires 5 AP to perform.

How does this sound? Which do you prefer? Or would you rather see both in there?

I much prefer it as a combat move.
Making a roll versus Int or Wis will make most mages less susceptible to feints than most warriors. Not sure of what to use instead though. Maybe you could add a bonus for combat training talents ? Or use Wis/Int + best rank in melee as a TN ? I will have to think a little bit more on this point.

I might go with Opposed Rolls "Trickery vs. Perception" or something like that....

Maybe add level of combat training as a bonus to the perception roll ?
The more I think about it, the less I find it necessary though. After all, trained fighters do get a better DEF from their fighting skills so it can be considered that they become less susceptible to feints.
I think you have found a good method there Rasyr. Trickery vs perception seems a good way to go and rather simple besides.

Don't worry, I have already removed it from the Talents list (and added "Taunt" in its place). Also, I was thinking that if the character is using some sort of two weapon combo, that he gets a bonus to the trickery roll (i.e. it is easier to feint with a second weapon than when you only have one weapon...)
