That makes sense.  If you take inspiration from the old D&D modules, I think you might do well with them.

old D&D modules, those skinny modules that AEG did in the early d20 days, the 5 room dungeon idea that whystle came up with...

Guidelines on making your own races, or guidelines for making more powerful races.  Perhaps using CPs?

+1. I would love to see more options and ideas. Like, how do you make a more advanced race? What about using monsters as races? How would Novus handle a disparity in power levels between two races in a party? Things of this nature. Would make a nice companion to the class building rules.

In Issue #5, I think that I am going to be doing an article called "Playing with Skill", in which I explore Craft skills (i.e. specifically the creation of items, including high quality items) and Herbcraft (which can be used to speed healing of combat damage and for healing diseases and other ailments). Herbcraft is already tied in with the making of Herbal Remedies in the core rules, so, this will enhance that as well. And to top it off, I am going to attempt to finish the Training Paths article, and to get it out there...

Then, come Issue #6, I can devote the issue to rules for creating new races and new monsters, and even give the Volyri as an example of the creation process (the artwork I have commissioned of Volyri should be ready by that point as well. But that is still a little ways off...

Keep the suggestions coming though, as I can always use good ideas for new things....

some more combat styles - maybe one that focuses on spears?

some more ready to go 'classic' classes - like Paladins

I definitely agree with earlier statements on:
[] Monster Creation Guide
[] Build your own PC Races
[] Monsters as PC Races

I would also like to see added a portion on:
[] Castle Creation (PC's love building their own castles! Yeah, not something that needs to really be done first though)
[] Minstrel Music (magic for minstrels)
[] Elementals (They're touched on in the book, but there are no stats for them)
[] Racial Talents (for each of the basic races in the core rulebook)
[] Bloodline Talents (for characters that want that extra flair, like Blood the Wolf, Fire-Born, Dragon-blooded, Divine-Heritage, Fiend-Born)
[] Fame and Infamy (Your actions as heroes tend to be well known, but how they're heard is another story...)
[] Artifacts and Legendary Arms and Armor (with flavor text)
[] Background Creator + New backgrounds (Yes, I know it's only 20 points worth of skills that your PC would have just from growing up in that region, but touch on it anyway)

I was thinking about doing races next. I have been swamped the past few weeks between buying a house and then moving into it. My carport is completely full of boxes and other stuff that we still need to go through (we really really lucked out and the house actually came almost fully furnished!!) Which means that we still have tons of stuff to deal with... heheh

Glad the move has worked out well for you, and congrats!  Can't wait until you get settled in and have more time to share more Novus insights with us.

Adding my vote to the mix. Monster creation guidelines (with more sample monsters) and new race guidelines, preferably in that order. I'd buy it!
