I like tables, but there isn't one listing the Basic Combat Moves for Combat Skills with 1 or more ranks - so here's one for a quick at a glance reference.

Basic Dodge Basic Dodge

Took me a few reads to get the idea behind Combat Skill, Combat Styles and Combat Moves.

Page 20 under Combat Moves states in reference to Advanced Combat Moves( stated as 'others'):
"The others require special training, but once learned, may be learned with any appropriate Combat Skill."

So, I thought you could buy a combat move and use it for any combat skill as long as the combat move was applicable to the combat skills category, for example if you purchase All out Attack for a melee combat skill, then it would be useable for all combat skills in the melee category.

Then I read page 47, which states:
"Please note that Combat Moves must be purchased separately  for each Combat Skill."

Which cleared that up.

Yes, the earlier mention "Any appropriate Combat Skill" means any Combat Skill that the Move has been learned for, not "any skill it  may be used with if known"

And then the note was added later on to make sure that it was clear....

Hmm.. What is the difference between a Combat Skill, Combat Style and Combat Move? might make for a goo FAQ question...

Agreed it would be a good FAQ question.  The terms are similar enough to cause some initial confusion, but a close reading of the game text clarifies the concepts.

I am enjoying the differentiation between characters that Combat Styles and Combat Moves offers. Additionally, I'm finding it easier to model some characters from fiction with these rules than other systems; which is great and it's easy to create new moves and styles.
