How "strange" should this setting be?

So, what do you guys think, want, and what kind of level of strange would you be willing to play with in a setting.

For an example of what answer 5 is, Carcosa comes to mind though not as dark probably.

I like stangeness in a game setting, but not to the point that it makes everything unfathomable. I guess I like to retain some control on what happens around.

Tentacles yes, less on the talking animals but I reserve the right to use them occasionally.  hehe.  The less strange you vote for, the lower likelihood of talking animals I guess.  If you vote for 5 expect WTF to be your response to some things.    I don't think many will vote for 5 though.
