I am thinking that I could trim out some of the Combat Notes section, to kill a page or two, so I want opinions.

I forget how dense you want the initial release to be, but, immediately I would exclude the Mounted Charge & Combat unless there is a specific reason to include it.  Mounted stuff is rarely used in a party of adventurers as most won't have it.  It tends to be relegated to the realm of NPCs in most games.

Good call.

I am hoping to get as close to 128 pages as I can. We are at 140 pages for the beta now, without any artwork at all so I know I will never get it that small once I add art for the final version, but the beta will essentially be a bare bones version, that is subject to change as folks mess with the beta.
